Blessings and Burdens
Lord, I thank you for the blessings that you have bestowed on my life and owe all that glory to you for in that you have made me rich beyond measure.  I also delight in the fact that the burdens I have are not mine to carry alone for you are always with me.  How many countless faces could say they delight in their burdens? None if they do not know you.

Your blessings have made me fulfilled but the burdens have made me wise, patient, compassionate, and most of all, more faithful to you.  Amen

ROMANS 12:2

Why Romans 12:2 on my heading on the Home page?  Because it's my blog that's why.  No, seriously, the reason I like that scripture is because it is easy to conform or copy anything but to remain strong in your convictions is a much harder task.  This goes not with just trying to live a healthy lifestyle as my blog describes but also on standing up for being a Christian or doing the right thing even if you are the only one.

This scripture really speaks to me and certain words keep me on track "Do not copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think."  Some versions also say "Do not conform to the pattern of this world..."

Because it is easy to get caught up in this world and lose track of our focus to be what we should be to please Him, I wrote what I call my "Transformation Prayer" to help me regain my focus.  It is a 'stew' of various scriptures that all work and mean something to me.  You can use it for yourself or create your own with snippits that mean something special to you.

TRANSFORMATION PRAYER
I pray that through strength and faith that I will commit to a lifestyle that is of great health to me and encourages me to live a life worthy of the Lord that created me.  I pray that God's power and energy is always within me to fight off temptation of those things which are impure and should not be put into my body or that prohibit me from getting up and out and walking my course.  I pray the Lord guides my footsteps and keeps me in full vigor and my heart on the right path.  Above all, i pray that I do not conform to the pattern of this world, but let God transform me into a new person by changing the way I think.  Amen
